“I have also spoken to [you by] the prophets, and I have multiplied visions [for you] and [have appealed to you] through parables acted out by the prophets” (Hosea 12:10 Amplified Bible). Performing Arts, specifically the dramatic arts, is a ministry of expressing God’s Word to His people in a way that is real and vivid. God used the lives of the prophets to demonstrate His message.
Mission
The mission of the CLFMI Worship Performance Arts Ministry is to carry the gospel message to unbelievers and to edify the saints of God.
Critical to this mission is our belief that we must present ourselves as ministers first to God; as true worshippers who worship God in spirit and in truth. Excellence is our standard for we believe that we are vessels fit for the Master’s use giving Him worthy praise.
We are committed to reaching in and reaching out. Reaching in to develop the gifts and talents of artists within the local body; reaching out to the world through the works we produce.
Vision Statement
- To evangelize the world to Christ and encourage believers by bringing the Word of God to life through the arts.
- To present to the Father ministry that is grounded in the accurately divided Word of Truth.
- To create and maintain a sense of community among Christian artists at home and abroad.
- To demonstrate the distinctiveness of the Christian life in our walk, our words and our works.
- To reflect God’s glory in the earth through a life committed to prayer and worship.
- To exult the Lord over self, performance and fame.
- To produce works of art that glorifies God through movement, drama, the visual arts, and the spoken and written word.
- To perfect our gifts, skills and abilities through ongoing education and training that we might be skillful artists.
