Psalmists are individuals gifted by the Lord and appointed by the pastor to sing to the Lord for His awesomeness, faithfulness, grace, and mercy, to encourage Christians and evangelize (share the good news of Jesus Christ) with the world through song. They are key in establishing an environment that will direct the heart of the people to receive the Lord’s Message as proclaimed by the pastor and/or teacher. The psalmists sing in various styles of music from classical to Negro spirituals.
